"Changhua String Ensemble Development League"(CSEDL) is a team that pushes forward children's music learning. Its greatest ambition is to "Popularize music and music education"
Music learning has been thought something noble because to learn music well requires expensive tuition, instrument, and other expense. Though people say "Children who learn music don't go bad", in fact, not many children are able to learn music.
Push the Idea
Since Feb. 2004, Dr.Yang Dao-Bin pushed the idea forward. He planned to have a preparation period of half a year. In the period, he made communication with some schools' principals, and held meetings of explanation for parents and teachers' concerts in many elementary schools.
In September 2004, many schools have founded string ensembles. After 1 year of practice, the amount of string ensembles had risen from 15 ensembles to now, 85 ensembles of 55 schools. In July, 2005, CSEDL held a thousand-people ensemble concert, moving people with the grand view.
The Dream Comes True
CSEDL makes it real -lower the gate to music world, bring more children into music palace, and make music spread over Changhua, a farm county. Let's see how they make the string-miracle dream come true. We also hope more people will know CSEDL, and join it. Let's walk from Changhua to all Taiwan, R.O.C., from Taiwan to all the world. Hope we can make children everywhere learn violin, and realize the dream-- "wonderful melody everywhere"and "Lin Jao-Lian, Ma Yo-Yo every home".
